PLASTIC FACTS:
Every year, around 8 million tons of plastic gets dumped into our Ocean in addition to the estimated 150 million tons that currently circulate our marine environments. On our part- we are dedicated to reduce plastic pollution by packaging our products into biodegradable bags made from plant-based materials rather than petroleum.
It is estimated that only one percent of plastic bags are returned for recycling. This means that the rest end up in landfills or as litter. Around 80% of ocean plastic pollution enters the ocean from our land. Together, we can reduce plastic pollution as our bags are recommended to be reused, recycled and re-purposed. We'll even give you a discount if you bring it back to our local farmers market booths (schedule varies; check "events" tab) to stock up and refill!
